The Fox in a Box brand is aimed at girls and boys aged 2 – 11 years and incorporates funky, colourful fabric in classic shapes.  Our nightwear is made of 100 % woven cotton with sparkly buttons and generous frills. Garments are produced in house in the Derby factory by an experienced team of seamstresses and cutters.

The beginning

After searching for 100% cotton children’s nightwear online for her daughter, Harriet realised there was limited options available, especially in woven cotton. The available prints were neither cool nor inspiring. A gap in the market was identified and a plan was hatched.

After sourcing funky prints in soft cottons Harriet went to work recreating traditional nightdress styles with a generous cut for added comfort. The name Fox in a Box was inspired by a long lost fox teddy, found eventually in Harriet’s loft, hidden in a large wooden ottoman. How Mr Fox came to be there, no one knows?

All our girls’ nightdresses are photographed on a superstar little girl called Norah, great niece of Nigel, daughter of Charlotte , our social media guru. Incredibly cute and theatrical, Norah brings the garments to life with striking poses and star jumps. 

A new collection for boys is being showcased at Top Drawer including onesie’s, snuggle hoodies and cotton pyjamas. We also have a new Christmas range that is also available which includes Mother and daughter matching pieces.

The journey

Launched on Etsy in November 2021 the brand has already achieved Star Seller status gaining a very healthy catalogue of 5 * star reviews. Fox in a Box has recently been accepted by a well-loved hight street retailer.
